The Division of Pediatric Nephrology provides care for children with kidney transplant and renal disorders throughout the state of Missouri.  Dr. Groshong has been a pediatric nephrologist and on the faculty of the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Medicine since 1975. His experience and interests include, pediatric transplantation, dialysis, glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and hemolytic uremic syndrome.

He has been particularly interested in hypertension in children.  While unusual in the pediatric population, it is potentially a very serious problem that requires expert attention.

Dr. Groshong also serves as Chairman of Child Health and has two one-half day clinics at the UP Medical Clinic in Columbia and two day clinic once of month in Springfield, Missouri.  New patient or return appointments for Columbia can be made by calling 573/882-5696.  In an emergency call the UMC Hospital Operator at 573/882-4141 and ask for the Pediatric Nephrologist to be paged.
