| The Division of Child Development and Neurology offers comprehensive evaluation and management services to children with developmental, behavioral, and neurologic problems. In our developmental focus area, we offer evaluation services and team management for children with developmental delay, behavior problems, autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and learning problems. Developmental and psychological assessments are available to identify strengths and weaknesses. There are several specialty services including an ADHD assessment clinic and two multidisciplinary clinics with a developmentally-oriented pediatrician, dietitian, nurse, occupational therapist, physical therapist, and speech/language pathologist. In addition, the team provides long-term monitoring and follow-up for graduates of our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and for children who have complex medical-developmental problems. In our neurological focus area, we offer comprehensive management for children with neurological problems including seizures, headaches, and neuromuscular diseases. The Division offers access to a variety of specialized services including new technologies to improve seizure management and motor control. In addition to providing clinical services, the Division is training the physicians of tomorrow, and contributing new knowledge to improve the lives of children with brain tumors and other rare brain diseases. | ||
