Dr. Clark has had clinical interests in neonatal thrombocytopenia and high frequency ventilation.  He has been a member of the University Clinical Ethics Committee since 1994; he and other Committee members are on call and available for bio-ethical consultations throughout the Hospital.  His current research explores the complex inter-relationship between law, medicine and bio-ethics with respect to end of life treatment decisions for newborns.  He has been an invited speaker at both national and international meetings regarding these issues.  Some of his representative publications in this area include:
